Facebook and Myspace
In this article he talks about how myspace and facebook are seperated by different teen classes. He states how some teens who are the "outcast" go on myspace and not on facebook. these people use myspace as a way of showing their feelings to others by displaying different types of background and by the music that their pages have. Facebook was mostly used by college students until they open their doors to everyone. this caused many of the high school kids who wanted a facebook make a account and leave myspace because they saw facebook as a much cleaner site and didn't have any annoying pages to look at. This is a reason why i use facebook now instead of myspace because people who edit their pages and it they would have ridiculous amount of pictures and sounds on their pages that was way to annoying. danah boyd also says how people think that bad kids go on myspace and the good kids are on facebook. this is not true because even if your "good" or "bad" you would just use the network that has most of your friends in. i know most of my friends have left myspace and move to facebook now since they can meet more college students that way since they are all in the same school network. it also just make it easier finding student on facebook with the same interest than on myspace. there might be a class difference between myspace and facebook but this is mainly cause both these sites offer different options for their users. some just prefer facebooks "clean" looking site and other use myspace to just totally express themselves to the public.

Fourth Revolution
In this article by Steven Harnad he writes how there has been three revolutions for man kind. the first revolution is language which developed hundred of thousands of years ago. This allowed us to explain and the second revolution was writing. writing made it possible to preserver the language that had describe the world we live in. Then the Third revolution was the Printing press. this allowed text to be handed out more quickly then writing it down. this revolution allowed everyone to hear what someone had to say instead of just a few people. The fourth revolution that he talks about but has not happened in his time is called Psycoloquy. Which is electronic journal. it was like scholarly cyber writing. This project would allow users to post comments and have feedback from each other within hours. this would all be possible by the Net. Psycoloquy would be international and alvailable everywhere around the world. this idea is like how we have blogs to comment each other and to give each other feedback on this if we post that we need help.

Radio
Bertolt Brecht in the 1930's wrote that radios should be used as a two way communication tool. He thought of this before cell phones and Internet. This was a very good idea but the two way communication did not follow through with the radios but new inventions and technology came that allowed us to have two way communication with technology. For instance now we have cell phones and internet that we can use to talk to people or call when we need help. We also have the Internet to IM friends and family and we can use the internet as a educational use to inform us. But the radio has not just been stuck on just reallying us information now you can call radio stations and have your messages played while you are speaking to them. The Radio now has transformed to being a semi two way technology but not quite because there are still many radio stations that just relay messages to use but that is also important because sometimes a person just wants to be entertained and not talk or so anything but be entertained.

Internet Addiction
http://www.mindhacks.com/blog/2007/08/why_there_is_no_such.html
Using the Internet can sometimes cause some other people who don't use to start wonder if your addicted to it. Using the internet can cause some people to start wondering if you should be outside or even doing some other things better than just sitting around looking at stuff online. Most people around you wont understand why you are just sitting their for hours staring at a screen. I know a lot of people who can sit at the computer and just stay their for hours, some friends are either on myspace, facebook or just playing online games. this doesn't necessary means that their addicted to the internet but i think its more likely to the things that the internet can offer. I myself can do all those things and i think doing it just puts you in touch with all your friends because its a way of talking to each other and having fun at the same time because you can all be playing the same game and trying to do a mission for it, or even just be on facebook and looking at other peoples profile and seeing what they have on it. But at the same time we can all go out for hours and have fun and i don't think this means that your addicted to going out but its just a way to have fun and do stuff. I think everyone who can use the internet can do this at one point but also doing this can also get kinda boring and doing it over and over again can get boring and then you just don't do it anymore. This is why some people can be on the internet for hours because they are looking for new things to try and the internet can offer this because your at home and comfortable without getting up or spending much money on things to try to find something thats fun.
